Every 3 years you get the chance to vote and choose who represents you in your local council.

Your council makes a lot of decisions that affect your everyday life. From the water coming out of your taps, to the roads you travel on, from community events, to your local library and pool - who you elect, will help shape it all.

• If you're on the electoral roll, you can vote. Postal voting opens on 9 September 2025. If you enrolled before Friday 1 August, you'll receive your voting pack in the mail. If you're enrolling now, you'll cast a special vote, but don't worry - it's easy and we'll run you through it when we get closer to the voting period.
